【⚾️ IchiRoadto50 💫】No.463 ⭐️KAISPO Total No. #1024(in English) 12/27/2019 ESPN customarily announced the 2010s all-decade team today. Ichiro Suzuki, who retired from professional baseball in March, has been selected one of the 2000s all-decade team members. The team members are as below: Catcher: Bustoer posey First base: Joey Votto Second base: Robinson Cano SThird base: Adrian Beltre hortstop: Francisco Lindor Outfield: Mike Trout, Mookie Betts, Andrew McCutchen DH/utility: Miguel Cabrera Starting pitcher: Clayton Kershaw, Justin Verlander, Max Scherzer, Madison Bumgarner, Chris Sale Relief pitcher: Craig Kimbrel The 2000s all-decade team members are as follows: Catcher: Jorge Posada First base: Albert Pujols Second base: Chase Utley Third base: Alex Rodriguez Shortstop: Derek Jeter Outfield: Barry Bonds, Carlos Beltran, Ichiro Suzuki DH:Chipper Jones Starting pitcher: Randy Johnson, Johan Santana, Curt Schilling, Pedro Martinez, Roy Halladay Relief pitcher: Mariano Rivera Also, there is an expectation if which team could be a winner. About the 2000s, their offensive power, including Barry Bonds, Alex Rodriguez and Albert Pujols, could be better than the 2010s, plus their defense of the outfield with Carlos Beltran and Ichiro Suzuki would be very solid. Randy Jonson and Pedro Martinez were notable as starters, but they passed their peak. On the other hand, the 2010s team has three exceptional starting pitchers such as Clayton Kershaw, Justin Verlander, Max Scherzer whose pitching has an edge over the 2000s. As a result, the ESPN made a judgment that the winner was the 2010s. I think the series of articles like this are very fun and meaningful in looking back on the Major League history.
